It’s so nice to see that you’re so thoughtful about taking care of the robins. In Texas we get a lot of black birds who are a pain in the you know what. They fly in large clouds of birds and shit over everything.

Hi Mary! Thanks so much (I grew up in Texas! I would LOVE to see a drawing of Big Robin! Big Robin would love it too, I'm sure.)

Big Robin is a drawing inspiration and tug on the ol' memory heart, having grown up in Michigan and lived a good chunk of time in Massachusetts, robins were every where. I rarely see them in central Texas, and this post was so much fun to read. Loved it. I would like your permission to draw Big Robin and post it on my 'stack. Would that be okay? 😃

Oh that's so good to know! My dream is to have birds eat out of my hand (like Snow White in the Disney movie! They should also fly around me singing!)

We met someone in a local park a few years ago who fed a Robin there every day. The Robin definitely recognised him because he always came out of hiding to greet him. I've heard that seagulls remember individual humans even years later, and I'm pretty sure that Mr and Mrs collared dove in our garden recognise us.
